⏱️ What you “get” to do & why you should be uncomfortable
💡 THOUGHTS FROM ME
I. What do you get to do today?
You have to finish five things at work. You have to respond to that email. You have to make dinner. You have to start on that project you have been avoiding.
But what if you change one word in each sentence? What if you “get” to instead of “have” to?
You get to finish five things at work. You get to respond to that email. You get to make dinner. You get to start on that project you have been avoiding.
Having a different perspective can change your burdens into opportunities.

II. Success often comes down to your ability to endure being uncomfortable.
Can you live with the uncomfortableness of being below average for a time? Or with the uncomfortableness of putting yourself out there before you have it all figured out? Or the uncomfortableness of asking people to help you on your journey?
If you can’t be uncomfortable, don’t expect success.

📖 1 BRIEF BOOK REVIEW
Joy Unspeakable by Martyn Lloyd-Jones
A book about the Holy Spirit, specifically the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
It certainly is an interesting topic, and I was grateful to learn from someone who had a very high view of Scripture. In the book, Jones argues that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a distinct experience separate from conversion and that while all Christians have the Holy Spirit, to be baptized by the Spirit is an additional and often separate experience.
Overall, I appreciated how Biblically he argued his position. However, the book itself (published in 1984 but its contents were written sometime earlier than that) wasn't the most engaging. I enjoyed the first half of the book, but by the second half I really I had to push myself to finish it. \
It's an intriguing book, but its dryness at times and the fact that I had to force myself to finish it lowered my score.
6/10
